Takayama is a small villlage in between Kyoto city and Nara city.

The craft men who live in Takayama have been making tea whisks for about 500years. Takayama whisks are considered a traditional craft designated by Minister of Economy.Takayama whisks accout for 90% of all whisks made in Japan.

This is hand made and the high quality tea whisk which is made in Nara Takayama village.
It is very hard to discribe between Janpnese one and Cainese one by pictures but the part of brushes of Japanese one is very sharp and springy.If you use this whisk,you are sure to make amazingly creamy Japanese tea.
